7.62x39 CZ 527 or Howa Mini Accuarcy

Has any one got either a CZ527 or Howa Mini in 7.62x39 and tried the Hungarian or Romanian steel cased FMJ ammo through either of them?

Just curious as to what the accuracy is like?

Intermediate. Am leaning towards the CZ personally.

My howa mini used to shoot under half moa consistently at 100m with match grade reloads
    It was a 6.5 Grendel though not a 762x39

I’ve got the same model and have the same experience, apart from ammo- I’m running Hornady 123gr Black. They are super good.

Did you do the magazine change yourself?would get one but don’t like the long mag set up on the howa.

Apparently you can cut them down to sit flush easily enough

accuracy and the 7.62x39mm FOR HUNTING is sort of a non starter.......the cartridge is only ETHICALLY a 150 yard job,-200 at a real stretch or for smaller lighter animals...wallaby/goats/fallow hinds.... so in reality you only need 1 1/2---3" grouping at hundred yards to be on the money for chest/shoulder shooting.
my experience with it hunting wise has led me to this conclusion...2" at hundy when sighting in...good to go...dont touch a thing...just go shoot stuff and be happy
if you want to shoot tiny wee groups buy a .223,the reds we have shot with it have been under 50 yards so accuracy wasnt an issue at all.bang flop from chest shots.

No idea about the Howa but a friend got a CZ 527 in 7.62x39 and he likes it, finds it accurate and nice to shoot.

What are the Howa mini's like after a few shots? My Howa 1500 308 is 1/2 MOA when cold, but that goes out the window with prolonged shooting.
I'm waiting to see if the heavy barrel mini action's make it here. One of those with a ten round mag would be great for goats.

Had a Howa in 7.62x39 and found it a bit meh. Shot more than well enough for the range limitations of the round but I wanted better. Sold it and got a CZ in 7.62x39 and it was a pretty sweet shooter. Steel cased 123gr Hornady SST into 1-1.5" at 100m and better with reloads... Still wanted better though... Had it rebarreled to Grendel and now it's under 0.5".

Ruger Ranch would be my choice. Can't go wrong with howa for the money plus you can get stainless for the same price (and come with rings). All are great options, I like the CZ but they had some issues with sticks cracking in 7.62x39. I saw one recently

Think what is required here is 7.62x39 accuracy to use up bulk rounds left from legal semi era.

The norinco is good for the first 3 shots but I don't like the way the bolt rattles. HB Howa for me I think. I tried the Ranch for size and although it pointed well it felt a little short on LOP.
I really need to get round to bedding the norinco for something to do.
