Even if the twist is right I’d say unless you single feed the 180s will be crammed in the case nothing wrong with 160 class I shoot 162 168 and 180 successfully threw mine but longer action and mag 180s are pretty deep in my case but shoot very well

It would seem odd to take the factory barrel off and put a slower twist one on.

Regardless if you want a saum and if it is a slower twist I'm sure you won't be "limited " in projectile options.

It's one of the cheapest ways to get a saum of any sort, especially with a carbon stock. A custom saum would be knocking over 5k to build, so its probably worth a punt if your after one

    Exactly,
Sure he got the twist rate measurement wrong. Is not on the barrel so he just measure with cleaning rod and patch.
Anyway, is a bargain with everything included and the zeiss scope.
    Might pull the trigger

Personally would not go for it, own 2 M7's and getting a 3rd soon.

The M7 action is better suited to the 308/7mm08/260/6.5CM/243 or better still 223 range of cartridges.

Hot loads on an M7 reciever are quite difficult to unstick (weak primary extraction) so I imagine a SAUM load would be more still.

For the same money, stick a T3, Howa 1500 or even Rem 700 into a KRG Bravo, load long with AICS mags and you are laughing.

The ergonomics of those McMillans make it feel like the rifle kicks harder than it does, terrible design.

Appreciate the offer to Check it out !
Rifle is packed up, ready for currier to pick up.
    Heading my way soon.

The M7 won't be my preferred action to build a 7 saum but for the price ...was a good buy with that zeiss scope, redding comp dies, brass, loaded ammo, suppressor.
No my favorite stock ether but none the less,a carbon stock and bartlein barrel.
    Very well priced.

Here’s mine a couple years back with its first kill of many

Mod 7. Factory barrel. Shooting 162 amax. Plenty on grunt and is doing mild speeds. Love it. I too wanted a taste for one, I even asked about how to rechamber at one stage. Kept an eye out and this came up. It’s given me a taste and hasn’t not done anything a custom can I imagine. It’ll be on more missions this year.
