I use 243s with 18.5 inch barrels and find the length perfect with a suppressor (basically factory length)
708 will be more devastating for the same barrel length and will do better if you decide to go shorter
I have a 12.5inch 300blk and it's portability even with a massive suppressor is a major plus when carrying it
Forget resale value and just build the tool you need

I'm sure I've got better photos somewhere, but this gives you an idea.
Forend isn't altered at all. Barrel was cut specifically for that suppressor, which sits a few mm short of the forend.

Sweet little rifle. Didn't really think about it but my suppressors 165mm over barrel 75mm muzzle forward. Knew it gave me a bit extra barrel but not that much. I've got a 17 inch barrel with stock butted up against the stock. Your rifle must be bloody handy being another 1.5" shorter. Bloody good rifles the kimbers.

    My go to bush/river/slips set up is a 7mm08, 18.5 with a dpt. ( it's relatively quiet too )
I run 150 Federal Hotcors on deer ( work extremely well out to 350, max for me )
Also run the cheaper 140PPU on goats and pigs. Good basic budget bullet IMO.
I've had excellent results to date and yet to try the 120 grainers but I hear good things.
Capable little cartridge and hot on the heals of my 270, so much so I have to do a double take.
Here's a link you might find interesting and made me move to 18.5.

Thanks that's a good read, although their math's is not the best in the velocity comparison.

Thanks for all the advice guys, I was fortunate enough to buy a 7mm08 of the yellow website for a great price. Stay tuned for some more questions as I seek advice around over barrel suppressors and the like! Cheers!

I can shoot a fist sized group at 200yards on a 400x400 plate. Havnt shot a deer past 70 but I would.

Yep got an aimpoint on the 260,
200m zero and of ya go.
    Pretty cool bit of kit.
Makes for an extremely light rig on the tikka.

What did you buy out of curiosity?
