@gimp why did you buy the blaser in the first place? (genuinely interested)

You must of known that it was always going to be a tank of a gun and was not going to get any lighter once you bought it?

It doesn't *feel* heavy, and it really isn't that heavy. The ergonomics and accuracy are amazing, it's such a nice rifle. I just made the mistake of putting it on a scale and looking at a number (with a 1kg scope on top). It is actually fine to carry all day and I never noticed it til I weighed it but then the number gets in your head when you're on a mission to lose weight from gear for long expedition style missions which I am (and I'm not prepared to give up my PM2).

A Blaser is approximately 4.5 times nicer than a Tikka.

So from a cost vs "niceness" comparision a blaser is on par with a tikka.

I think gimp is going to buy 4 and a half tikkas.

At least he will be able to sell them when he realises he actually needs a forbes....

All of the above is highly unlikely to happen.

Yeah, had a shot or two I liked it, but I didn't like it enough that if I had money I'd go buy one like it if that makes sense.

Yeah, it makes sense. On the other hand I was happy enough to sell 3 rifles to pay for one.
