I covet the C.I.P. length mags of the newer AI magnums.
Owning a TRG22 & 42 would be awesome, they are such an iconic pairing along side the AWs.
My marriage wouldn’t handle it unfortunately.

Yrs ago i was given the privilege of firing a AI 338 a couple of times.Buitfull rifle,but when i was told it was 17k i was gobsmacked,about $10 a shot then.WOOW.
I have shot the L96 version of the AI. A member of my gunclub has just bought in a switch barrel AI 6.5 CM and 338 LM. I have shot the 6.5 barrel but not the 338 yet.
Many thanks to DPT for accommodating the agricultural AI muzzle thread and also to Kelly Country for your excellent service.
POI shift was 0.1 elevation @100m from the factory brake.
Very happy !
I see the new Oceania Defence Ltd , rachet locking 338 can is finally out , it fits over their new brakes , they have a 18x1.5mm for AIs, 18x1mm for Sako and 5/8 & 3/4 as well.

Did your man in New Caledonia have to get around the maximum 22.5mm diameter for the rear bush?
I make the barrel Ø25.2mm @188mm from the shoulder on my AWSM factory barrel. So one would assume a different barrel profile, maybe he had an AX?
I had written off a DPT for my one based on the above but would be keen as on one if there is a work around.
Does the Ultra Mag suppressor handle the jandal on the 338 Laura Magnum ok?
I think our agent AI338 was an older model with a folding stock.
Our suppressor fitted on his barrel with no issues.
But if your barrel is 25mm at the rear point it will not work. Sorry for that.
Stink.
