I've been using a gun city branded heaps of junk on a .22 air rifle. Air rifle is super accurate and makes up for it.
Tasco will probably do for now, was shopping for a 270 and ended up with a Brno as well (couldn't leave it there, it's beautiful) so I'll be spending anything left on ammo and diesel to get out of the city.
Tasco is going to get a good run!

the cheap scopes may die on air rifle quite quickly.....they have worse recoil impulse than a big rifle.

Yup, put it forward on the rail and tighten er up, few bunnies later and it's working its way back. Cheapo rings.
The two rifles I bought seem to have decent rings too..
The BRNO has original Czech rings and a spare pair, and the .270 has Parker Hale rings that seem to be in good condition.
I think the tasco will stay on the .22, seems perfectly fine.
Haven't had the 270 out yet so won't comment on that till I've spent some time with it.
