    An amazing Mountain Rifle

I was fortunate enough to have a play with the Rifle when I visit Westley Richards, sadly WR have decided not to put rifle into production.

.300 Win Mag - for shooting mountain sheep !

They probably did some "market research" after the Simon Clode passed on.

"To that end, it needed to be built to cope with the rigours of mountaineering, be light enough to carry at altitude, be impervious to the weather and terrain and sufficiently flat-shooting and fast to engage quarry, with confidence, at long range in poor weather and hard-hitting enough to terminate a large, powerful animal with one shot, two at most."

Half the harm that is done in this world is due to people who want to feel important. They don't mean to do harm-- but the harm does not interest them. Or they do not see it, or they justify it because they are absorbed in the endless struggle to think well of themselves.

Just what, may I ask is "amazing" about the rifle? Don't bother, rhetorical question. Nothing.

Looks like a great deal of thought and development went into that. There are off the shelf options that will do what it can do for a far lower price, but that misses the point. To see such a package put together, with the best bits is always a pleasure to see.

You can order one to match your Tweed?

Looks quite average to be fair, England is the last place I would buy any item with " Mountain" in the description.

Tweed indeed! It would have to match my Tartan! North Island thinks it has mountains too.............
