rather ironic that massive -i too had an experience with H&f which Ive never forgotten and wont. needless to say it turned out OK but the deviousness of at least one person was forever earmarked by me. on the other hand ,and listen for the howls Ive always found guncity very good -moreso when I deal with the person I spoke to over the phone.
one rifle i purchased had a malfunctioning safety -took it back -they cleaned it etc etc but we had no luck so the big cheese DT said -give him a replacement one and a pkt of ammo for his troubles and as an apology from us for inconvenience caused.
Same with a crook suppressor -instaneously replaced with a dearer model as other was not in stock.
Whilst i may have been one of the 'lucky ones"nevertheless this did strike me as very considerate and that I dont forget.
TM is similar .recently bought a new "no see me suit".young vendor (operating mums a/c)is a little unsure about postage and emails me to say postshop want $32.00 to send it from whangarei to chch.?would i pay -Fuck no! but I will help you out.I told him exactly what id do -and later sent him the results -yep it ended up in my hot wee hands in a postbag for the princely sum of$9.00 and a bloody relieved but thankful trader.Im a great believer in communication -when where what and how ,likewise if problems crop up -contact em tell em whats up and what youre doing about it.enhances your reputation and shows youre genuine .shitty red faces are extremely rare with me -both giving and receiving.

Whilst these have their uses ( and they are excellent for looking in wall cavities etc) they just don't cut the mustard as a barrel borescope. They don't have the resolution or magnification (even when enhancing the image on a PC) or the right angled mirror which is really the issue for barrel inspections. Mate started out with USB one similar to that in the link and once he used my Hawk Eye he immediately imported one for himself. Hawke Eyes are f...ken expensive and are a serious purchase but there is no cheap equivalent.
Although having said that there is a bore scope branded Setford being sold in Oz which may be a Chinese copy of the Hawk Eye.

    interesting...

These guys seem to have had some success with it. I note they found Boretec was useless for rust prevention also (must complain to the company). Anyway I don't think you needed a bore scope to see the 8x57 barrel is nasty.

No, no super eyes not required as you rightly conclude Yes, I follow that forum and that was where I quoted the Setford from. If you go right thru the thread he ends up reasonably happy but makes a conclusion that it will never be the equal of a 1000 dollar scope but was OK for determining cleaniness. Mind you the digital ones are advancing all the time and at least you can capture an image, something I struggle to do with mine.

Tried calling him twice more today to no avail. Have had it confirmed from the courier company that the courier only picked it up on the day it was scanned inin - so I was correct, he was bullshiting to me the whole time.

Gidday Grunta - sorry to hear that you've been done by the same bloody con artist that got me a few years ago, I don't recall the details but I do remember the name. I think we can conclude from your and my experiences that Andrew MacKenzie has quite a history of not properly describing items for sale and is a bullshitter extraordinaire. Folks be warned, this is a seller you want to stay away from. My transaction wasn't through TM or a forum, I think he must avoid it/them for obvious reasons, so if he pops up in a "different location" be very aware.

Thats the number. He's absolutely gutless. As said in my opening post, I tried calling to no avail so sent a txt saying theres no point ignoring me, he txts back straight away to ssy nothing to ignore so I try calling instantly back to the same no answer. My twin girls have more go in them than he does and they're only 11 months old.
@Tentman - likewise, sorry you've had to deal with him too. Big believer in what goes around comes around.
