    I use a range finder that outputs Horizontal distance, no need for any Cosine adjustments. KISS

    It finally arrived from the UK. It is a piece of crap. So disappointed and here's why - the main screw when even slightly tightened causes the mechanism to stick. So yeah I pulled it apart for a look. Washers where they need not be, sized wrong anyway. A bearing that is designed for extreme loads not a delicate thing like this. Lucky I have a good mate who likes to tinker.
