By my online research the 42mm HD5 Zeiss was a pretty good sweet spot for performance, clarity & weight vs price. I'm certainly happy with mine, but I haven't done IRL side-by-side comparisons.

Here's the data I collected (pricing will be out of date by now)

@300_BLK Last time I communicated with EuroOptic he wouldn't/couldn't send Nightforce to NZ. Was happy to send to a USA address even though I was going to pay with a NZ CC. Has their position with Nightforce changed?

Only issue I found with the HD5 plex reticle was its very heavy for a 15 power scope, otherwise mint glass & function.

Sounds good! Leaning towards the Zeiss. In terms of rings etc, should I be sticking with talley steel rings? Pretty inexperienced when it comes to 7RM. Looking at picking up a Tikka T3x

Depends what Rifle and rail you have. I went with a rail on my 700 and Burris Z Rings. That way I could milk out more elevation with the MOA inserts.

it depends, some times they will sometimes not
If it's been a demo they possibly will, brand new they have told me no, second hand yes.
However it's moot as his missus is going over and anything can be sent inside the sates, she can pick up from where ever.
