most likely a post war build from NOS parts left over in the factories thousands were pumped out as there was a demand worldwide and it also provided a boost for economies trying to recover after 5 years of war and 10 years of depression. the stampings on the receiver would give a ballpark guess as to where and when it was assembled . being that he bought it in 1960 it could have technically been new (never used) even tho the parts were maybe 15 years old .
Ahhh forgotten weapons, is there nothing gun Jesus does not know ?
That forgotten weapon vid is great, this overall gun looks like the midwar version ?
Should have watched that before checking out the gun
Has a 4 above the chamber, but appears to have late pd barrel band & early pd nose cap
Anyone off here pick up some pieces from the auction? I’m wondering what that Mannlicher Schoenauer 7x57 went for?
