I have made up a 7x57 using a DWM 1908 Mauser action, Douglas barrel, custom made stock by me, Swarovski 3 to 9 scope that I hunt with, mainly, using the 130 gn speer and 48 gn 2209. Love it because it is my own wprk.
Yup, I've got one, a tidy BSA Regent that has had about 2" taken off the barrel. Nice compact rifle, shoots well, kills decisively out as far as I ever want shoot an animal. Its my go to rifle for a quick walk, or in the bush, or trip away.
I've got one of those in really good nick. Thought I'd snapped it when I took a tumble down a creek so retired it and using an X-bolt in 308 at the moment but a 7x57 custom made rifle is going to happen. Have a VZ 33 small ring action earmarked for that project. It's a great cartridge without doubt.
2 BSA's on T/M in 7x57.
I have two: Brno M21 sporter, and a re-barreled VZ33.
Great guns and great calibre.
Got one for my blaser r93 shortened and suppressed
BSA 7x57 with Leupold VX3i 2.5-8 x 36 in Talley rings (adapted). I like it and its NZ history.
I don't use it enough...
Awesome cartridge. Been using it for years, Currently in a rebarreled Ruger M77 Mk1. As I understand it, someone once shot a shit load of elephants with it. Can't say more than that really.
1897 DWM Orange Free State 7x57, Timney Trigger, Boyd’s Laminate Stock, Swaro 3-9 x36 Scope and a DPT Suppressor. Under 1MOA at 100 yards.
