Thread: Any boughts scope from Optics Trade??

I use eurooptic.com , prices are excellent and been great to deal with.

Ok, scope I wanted didn't come into stock after 30 days.

They offered a full refund
or refund the shipping and ship scope when it does arrive and include a gift
or Upgrade to a better scope.

I chose the upgrade, so got a Vortex Viper PST 1x4 for $580NZ including shipping. Retail here seems to be $1 to $1.1k so seems like a pretty good deal.
Tracked shipping with EMS was quick and accurate info. As per standard with the mongolian clusterf**k that is NZ shipping logistics the scope got from Slovenia to Auckland faster than it got from Auckland to Dunedin, and that's including removing the time it took to clear customs.
Somehow I didn't manage to attract GST either, so that was a bonus.

So big thumbs up to Optics-Trade, I'll be using them again.

My name is Scott an I am new to the forum.I came across this thread doing a search about optics trade eu and decided to make my first post here to share my experience with this online company.
I ordered a scope 5 weeks ago it said on the web site it would be 1 to 2 weeks before they received it and shipped to me from then.However after about 4 days I received an Email saying it would now be 1 month to delivery which was fine with me.
5 weeks passed so i emailed them again and have now been informed it will be another 4 to 8 weeks away which its a bit s**t really if I had known it would that long I probably would not have bothered.
I am sure they are a reputable online company but probably a small company so low on the priority list when dealing with manufactures so things take longer.
Something to think about before you order with them or a similar company.

The scope i ordered is a IOR 3-18
I am not sure why its going to take so long given geographically optics trade and the IOR factory are not far away from each other.

Anyone bought from these guys recently?

It's also the screwed up search function on the forum. Pretty much every other forum on the internet returns results by date unless you specifically have it sort by relevancy, so most people expect the first result to be the most recent.... on here, it spits out "relevancy" first, so you get necrothreads popping up because it's not intuitive unless you know and expect it. Sort of part of a series of odd quirks on here... I love the community here but this forum is definitely a bit odd in its settings, which leads to some odd behaviors, especially from newbies who get blindsided by the site settings.

In this case it seems like it was deliberate, in that jackson21 was looking for an update on the company, which is fair.
