    Anyone bedded a 10/22?

Have heard you need to bed the barrel and relieve the action on the ruger 10/22 to improve accuracy, opposite to all the centrefire rifles or bolt action .22s I have ever bedded before, anyone here tried this method and how did it go? Thanks

done it, remove barrel band and floated. te best cure for a 10/22 is to to secure mount the receiver to the barrel using a good compound like loctite

Jacinta stole my marlin model 60 from me..trigger replacement might be a good option ..shoots under an inch @50m now so on a par accuracy wise with my marlin..much more reliable and simple design to break down and clean tho,the marlin was a complex little setup to strip and clean.

My gunsmith pillar bedded mine and made the Receiver solid in the stock by installing some small shims on each side of the action

He suggested against gass bedding for Reasons ive since forgotten
But the rifle certainly shoots like a demon so im not complaining
