Anyone familiar with this 303 ammo?

I suspect it's made by prvi partizan going by the headstamp.
    Is FMJ.
Not too sure if it's boat tail or not but came in a box of hand loaded target ammo I received
These look factory loaded to me, are the primers corrosive? Year is 1973 going by the headstamp.Name: 20240322_161017.jpg

Possibly no help at all but we used to file the tips to expose the open bit underneath, killed ok but like most young fellas the bling soon overtook the old school and moved up to a 270.

I was reading another thread about that earlier, seems a few are doing that with the Greek HXP bunker rounds.
I was told in the store that they will take a deer down just fine as is, but I will be mostly using them for target practice.

Looks like South African surplus produced by Serbia (?) during the Cold War haha…probably used mainly in Vickers. Sold by the case in NZ some years back (? 90s or early 00s)..

Treat them as corrosive primers and act accordingly

Rules for identifying primers on Yugo/Serb made ammo....

Red Primer annulus = Berdan primed and corrosive.
Green Primer annulus = Boxer primed and non-corrosive
Purple Primer annulus = Berdan primed and non-corrosive

If you can dig them out. I got some of these as range pick ups & my usual chisel the primer out with a pick made from a Ramset nail just lead to manged anvils, kinda like they're stuck in with some sort of sealant. The only ones I've ever had that issue with.

Yep they have a sealant. Soften with candle first

I had been thinking to use an electric soldering iron applied to the primer before trying to dig them out, a candle may well be simpler & shouldn't get them hot enough to soften the case head. Now I'm retired it must be time to stop looking at them & do something with them.
