Anyone fitted a DE adjustable cheek piece to a McMillan edge stock?

McMillan told me they couldn't do an adjustable cheekpiece on the edge stock so when my A5 edge arrived I'm looking at options. I can always glue on some foam but I'm sure I've seen some pictures of an adjustable cheek piece fitted to one of these stocks somewhere. I actually have a DE one gathering dust in the cupboard - Just a case of drilling some holes or do I need to fit some aluminium inserts to strengthen the stock back up? Feels awfully hollow in there when you tap on the butt.

Yip Your onto it place it where you wont it on the stock mark holes on both sides. drill both sides into the middle of the stock, then install inserts (glue) to stop it crushing the edge tec stock, you could use strong plastic tube if you wonted. Just make sure you check how high you wont it before drilling.
