Anyone got one (or the Bushnell stickered one - same thing?)

G'Day Spanners,
A mate of mine DE has a Bushnell version and he is pretty impressed with it!
I had a play with it before he mounted it on a rifle and it seemed to be OK and not overly big or heavy.
Apparently, you can program in the ballistics or trajectory for your firearm into its computer and makes all the adjustments and moves the red aiming dot to where it needs to be!
You just then need to overlay the red dot on your target, and Bob's Ya Uncle!!!

I'm thinking it might be a good scope for a heavy barrel bunnie 223.
Get rid of the Kentucky Windage at longer distances
DE wanted to fit it to his .338 Lapua but changed his mind, when he was told the Lap's recoil would turn it inside out!
Not sure if this is true but he now has it on a .308Win.

Nz hunters reveiws where along the lines of glass not to bad but low light suffers a bit due to the ranging function and the dots good for minuite of deer but not so good for minuite of rabbit

Cheating. Buy some nice iron sights instead.
Have to see if i can find Dave Jones article.
I think it would be the ducks nuts on a bunny gun
I had a quick look threw one in a shop not long after they came out, you could just make out the unlit dots and it appeared as tho there where a few separate dots as opposed to a continuously variable dot IE a dot for say 350-420 next dot 420-500 or some thing like that.
I could be wrong it was only a quick look, but if that is how it actually works elevation could be a bit high or low at some ranges for a hit on a bunny

My experience (having to sight plenty of them in for Load developments etc) is the crosshair intersection ( aiming point) is too thick for long shots at bunnies.
Yea, Dave found the holdover dots (not the crosshair intersection) obscured too much of the target for small targets. The idea is right, but they need to refine that reticle more if they want it to appeal to varminters.
