Anyone know anything about a BSA CF2 .308?

Hey guys I'm currently looking at a CF2 .308 for my first deer gun,
Just wondering if anyone knows anything about these rifles pros/cons? Any info would be great

Hi I have a cf2 in 270 (for sale) great rifle, accurate and well balanced, mounts are the same as Remington. These rifles were built for work, don,t know of any cons.

The CF2 was always a good reliable rifle though slightly on the heavy side for high country work. I was selling them new in 1970 and since then the only work I have ever done on them was the usual bedding and trigger jobs that get done on virtually all rifles. I have rebarrelled several, and replaced a couple of magazine springs. Make sure the barrel is good and you will have a good rifle.
