Anyone used Lockhart Tactical in US before?

    Hey team,

Just wondering if anyone has imported gun parts from Lockhart Tactical Vancouver before?
I’m looking at bringing in a MDT ESS chassis and parts for abt $1500 NZD. He said they chuck $50 on the box for ease of access through customs.

    Any advise?

    Cheers.

Just remember, if the parts include the action or parts of the action, you need a NZ import permit.
Only issues with having $50 on the box is that if you take up insurance, its only worth $50.
Also customs at this end are not stupid, they have google as well, and will take about 60seconds to find the price.
    Budget for the 15% GST.
    Just my 2 cents.
ps. NZAR15 currently have a sale on MDT stuff.

Used them and their service is excellent. Samuel Lockhart is who you should email. I'd chuck a more realistic $ value on like $280usd so it still falls under the limit?

Customs will use whatever is stated as the commercial value on the box, they dont have time to investigate everything they see.
But I dont think there is a limit anymore, they intend to charge GST and duty on everything last I heard.

No change yet on import duties and taxes... and currently the NZ$400 (including cost of shipping), is still free of GST.

You wanna put money on that? They do randomly investigate "true value" of items..
