Thanks Sasquatch. It's theoretical anyway because even if I had to get 1000 good justifications to the police for buying another E rifle, it would be nothing compared to the justification I'd need with my wife!

Took an A cat AR10 in to Wgtn Central and Louise put it straight onto E for me then and there - was mid Dec from memory
Got a phone call for my 6-monthly inspection Sunday yesterday and he had no record of it being added but that "isn't unusual"

I find that the best thing is to ring em up every day until you get what you want

    Pistols

( and E-cats too I think? not sure)

Have to attend club shoots 12 times a year and inspected 6 monthly

He asks me each time how many A-cats I have and I say 1
    He writes down 10
    We laugh..

Is anyone having any issues with other E cat firearms besides AR's? Or does it seem the police have a personal vendetta with them?

I think pistols is 6 monthly inspections, MSSA's are every 3 years. Well that's what my AO said anyway.

I spoke with my AO today. Got a permit to import an MSSA in a week. Noted that it had been near two months since I did a Pol76x. She said she had tried to chase it up and received no response. She doesn't know what the delay is.

    Thanks for that
If the guy is already there looking at some of my registered firearms I don't mind if he sees the other registered ones
There's no way he is looking at my A-cat stuff ever unless the law changes

I think you are meant to have an annual audit of your endorsed guns, don't ask me to quote the arms act on that though. I had my first annual audit after 6 years last year... my list said I owned two of a couple of rifles.

    I got mine all sorted.
Delay was because central hadn’t sent all the information to Manukau AO.

Also still waiting on permits to be approved since mid Dec ,have chased it up couple times ,even police HQ acknowledged they remember processing them ,but they don't know where they have got to .......
Would have thought reprint and mail back out to me would of been the go to .......

One of my rifles that I submitted a month ago came through. The other on I submitted last year still nothing. AO thinks it has been lost. Still no reply to her enquiries
