I've got one, picked it up from GunsNZ, S&W M&P15.

Cheap, pretty accurate. The buffer spring makes a bit of noise, it might be one of the 1st things you'd want to tweak. The lack of dust cover and forward assist isn't an issue for me, some folks don't like having the bolt area exposed. Trigger isn't too bad, and pretty cost effective all round I reckon.

Sounds like lots of fancy stuff tarting up a pretty basic lower end AR.
Most important parts on an AR are a good barrel, bolt carrier group and trigger.

I struggle to see how anyone could only shoot 150 rounds through an AR though. Maybe add another zero to the number?

PS, first thing I do with the buffer spring on any AR, whether its a $3300 off the shelf rifle or a custom build is cover the spring in lithium grease, removes/reduces the 'twang'.

You won't hear it over the concussion from my non suppressed 11.5" carbine.

Here is 300calman shooting it a few weeks ago at NZDA. Unfortunately, the light doesn't show the true muzzle flash.

I always have a chuckle when I read of guns being sold 'hardly used'.

    S&W M&P15 SPORT 5.56 NATO A or E Cat
    $1795 new

With all the toys added and it's 2nd hand, dunno maybe $1500 ? There's a balance between what something is worth to the seller, and what the buyer is prepared to pay.

It's not a bad package. Comes with a suppressor and a decent handguard. Between 1500 and 1700 would be fair.

People get real hung up on this but it's no different to a shotgun with the recoil spring in the but. My Beretta 3901 used to go "twang-kerclunk" every time I fired it.

Having said that an adjustable gas block seemed to tame the noise in my rifle and it's not noticable now.

Commenting on the twang is the first thing people do after shooting a real AR. They didn't add the twang into counterstrike so people don't expect it,.

It's just an annoying sound when it's right inside your ear every time you squeeze the trigger. More distracting for me personally.

Bit of grease though and then it's an non issue.

As far as that AR goes, with scope suppressor etc 1500-1700 is probably a pretty fair price. Wouldn't get too hung up on rounds down the tube as even if it was 10x what he stated 1500 is SFA through an AR.

    1500-1700 sounds right.

If the twang bothers people then the JP silent capture Spring is ideal-I bought one for the ability to tune the spring but the lack of twang is a nice bonus
