    I presume that after you've "cleaned" it you use a dry patch before you fire it again?

    I use synthetic oils like M-Pro 7,Breakfree CLP and Tetra Gun in my AR15 and Mini 14. The most important thing is to dry-patch the barrel before shooting, to prevent an oil ring bulge.
    Even a slight bulge can ruin your accuracy...speaking from experience!

    Most rifles take about half a dozen shots to settle down and shoot their best after a thorough cleaning. But 40 shots sounds excessive.

    Interesting, but I doubt his client's possess the skills to notice any accuracy losses. It's a 10m range in loss Vagas, most clients just want to fire a few clips on full auto so they can post a photo on Facebook.
