I think that proves the rule because you brought yourself an awesome present and she got some socks.

I handmade her a solid oak outdoor table, but apparently it didn't count because I didn't buy it. But she also got a $400 carbon fibre hockey stick. I think she was actually more disappointed cos she thought I'd bought her a gun

In my defence, $1900 for a new Palmetto State Armory 9mm AR with Glock compatible lower is hard to say no to

My Hiperfire hyper touch ED3 (who thinks up these names??) has cleared NZ customs so I should have it sometime next week and will post a review. I don't expect it to be as good as the tinmey it is replacing but I was keen to have two piece mil spec (so I can take it apart and clean the sand out of it) and a good solid, heavier than mil spec hammer strike.

I have one in my Aero/Spikes/Colt shorty.
I would say it has a tent bit of overtravel than creep, but I need to check it again to be sure. It at home at the mo.

I see the RRA match trigger is on special at Brownells.
    AR-15 NATIONAL MATCH 2-STAGE TRIGGER | Brownells
Is it worth getting one one of them or
should I save up and go for one of these Geisseles
    https://www.targetsports.co.nz/product/1359371

    Are they that much better?

depends what your expecting, they will be different... but do you shoot well enough that it will make a difference?
I'd go the RRA, its actually $89.99usd (L6Q will give you 10$ off on a 99$ purchase atm) shipping cost me 20$ USD, on my trigger, its in customs atm

My Hiperfire Hipertouch EDT3 arrived on friday so today I navigated through the minefield of removing the A cat stock without buggering the safety detent spring, removed the timney and fitted the new trigger. I have only dry fired it so far but initial impressions are very positive. It's heavier than the timney but thats not surprising given the timney is rated at 3lb and the EDT3 is 4.5lb. I don't notice any creep but as dogmatix says there is some over-travel. I have also done the 50c gas buster charging handle mod with ATV so once thats cured tomorrow I will go to the range and try it out.

Did you get an import permit or did you just tell your AO that you were doing it for your AR?

Agreed, just curious how you did yours. As sometimes Dan stops the import for verification. Therefore I find it easier with my AO to tell him what I'm buying first before it gets stop at Customs.

The safest is to get a permit regardless but my trigger just saled right through. Legally you don't have to get the permit as it's a A cat part. If customs seize your stuff you can just get the permit then. Your AO knowing you are importing a part won't make a different, having a permit and how customs are feeling on the day will.

Trump is in charge now and he is making America great again by letting us buy triggers.

I Email Dan, tell him the trace# & what it is, its intended use (which is always A-cat)
because the arms office want a complete A-cat rifle before they will register it as a E-cat (Manukau)
and a quick pic of my FAL,
is all that is needed, I am a fit and proper person after all,

that and they don't give permits for A-cat parts, (unless its the action? and lower receiver?)
