I'd definitely like to do it, but I don't have the gear or many NZ made suppressors and I bet the manufacturers wouldn't be keen to send them in for a test

There is enough around that a test could be done without any issues
Only those with an alliance would have an issue ?

That would be the go. You'd also be using typical production examples.

    Should we start a thread?

And they're too heavy and big to be practical for my liking, hence all specs

We did a suppressor comparison test at our service rifle club one day. It was all subjective though, friend looked at hiring a DB meter for the test but it was major $rape, like not even funny. We tested: DPT mini can, Waitaki AR can, Hardy AR can, GW maxmus, and 3(?) of the ODL Ti cans.

Shit quality, you had to be there, last 3rd of vid is the best, but it's all subjective.

Reason some of the identities are obscured is cuz the ODL dude didn't want to be identified or something. Most of the footage couldn't be used because he was in the back ground talking about all the stuff he wants patented.

Lol pretty much, he even showed me the drawings and shit. He was relying on us all being good cunts, not that we have access to a 3D printer to make shit out of Ti anyway.

The ability to patent something is no more than being able to convince someone on paper what you are doing is original and you can write the check.
Being able to defend a granted patent is when your cheque book is really tested.
The only people that win in piss and wind confrontations are lawyers.
Once you start to talk mid 5 figures in regards to fees for whatever then ethics etc go out the window.
You would be very surprised in what legal council I have been given when chasing reasonable sums of money
