Thread: Athlon Midas BTR Gen2 4.5x27

I was fluffing around looking for a higher mag scope to put on th 6.5 prc so that scope (Weaver 4-16 with Zero stop) could go on the 22.250 so that scope ( minox 3-15) can go on the Kimber 7 /08 cause its light with great glass. So question is does anyone else run an Athlon Midas scope? Reviews on line have been positive but real world stuff counts more.

The midas is pretty similar to the Ares BTR 4.5-27x50 i think, and i run one of them on my 28 Nosler, ive been quite impressed with that.

The models go Cronus, Ares Midas Helos in descending order. The new gen 2 models are are a big step on the gen 1s. I’d never been particularly impressed with Athlon except the Cronus and ares but we we are currently evaluating a couple of the helos gen 2s and I’m impressed. Especially the new helos 2-12 FFP. Unfortunately like vortex and nightforce these are distributed out of Australia so kiwis pay extra.

Yeah i was thinking of the Midas Tac which is basically the Ares without the Illuminated Ret.

I have /had a few midas tac's and they are great scopes.
