Thread: Atlas bottom metal for Tikka T3

I bought a bottoms metal to replace the factory plastic.
Atlas seems to be good quality but I had a few issues with it.
Magazine did not release, once it's clicked in, it;s jammed in there hard.
Can't get it out.

The trigger protector ring has so much beef, it's so big it actually rubs your hand pretty bad if you do a rapid fire match.

Anyone else has had different experience? Have sorted the problems out with some smart fix?

You should be able to get the magazine out by taking the action out out of the stock. I've had no trouble with the Atlas on my T3x but it's on a carbon fibre stock not the factory job.

aisc mag or factory mag bottom metal? Mines been great for aisc mags and the few other i have seen have been great too.

Might need a shim between the bottom metal and stock to space it out a touch. A piece of aluminium can might work.

It’s factory stock and factory magazine. I’ve taken it all apart and Will tray again without tightening the action screws and see if it’s a shim fix. But that for the info. I’ll report back soon.
