    Availability of Type 97 semi-auto

Curiosity got the better of me... Are there many in the country? Canada has the civilian variants and it appears to be possibly within our minimum OAL. They would be on E or C cat if too short. I vaguely remember there was one on Gunstuff in the past 24 months but can't remember if on E or C.

Not interested in hearing the bullpup have crap triggers and its a Chicom POS. This is not a review and we don't buy things just because they are the best in every department Thanks.

They are around. They were sold by Gun City not so long ago (E category).

All roads seem to lead back to GC at some point. What were they selling for at GC's retail? They do look quirky and uncommon.

I did some shooting with the military version in Beijing a couple of years ago, one with iron sights and the other was a 'sniper' version with a scope. Reliability was fine, ergonomics were so-so, accuracy was mediocre. The iron sights had a very large front sight that made accurate shooting very difficult. Groups at 80 metres were all in the chest area of the target, iron sights about 200mm for 20 shots, scoped rifle about 100mm for 20 shots. Shorts bursts opened things up a lot more.
