    Baikal foresight ramp removal

Any one know how the ramp is attached to barrel, sweated on perhaps?
    Best way to remove?

At least on the ones i have worked on, on the ramp there are two screws that are soldered on to the barrel (head down) so that the threads stick up - if you look on the ramp you should be able to find two round nuts with a key way cut across them (you might need to file a slot in the middle of the blade of an old flat head screw driver to make it fit). Actually it might only be one screw on the front ramp and two on the back (sorry can't remember). Undo these and then file/cut off the screw stubs that will stick up. Will be permanent; but ends up pretty tidy.

Huntsika is on the money - I removed one in recent times, single screw. Bit ugly to tidy up afterwards, you'll want a little cold blue paste.

@huntsika and @thejavelin and @Micky Duck. Spot on, but a fiddly bugger. Remove foresight first then make tool. I've come up with another cunning plan. What I actually need to do is the raise the foresight blade a considerable amount to accomadate the skinner peep sight. I've got a very tall blade in my bits and pieces so I'll cut shape accordingly, then slot into foresight incision. There's a member already done one so I'll try and get a basic base line of height required, make mine a bit taller then take a bastard to it as required.
