    If your rifle is shooting accurately then don’t mess with it. Old adage.... don’t fix what’s not broken.
    If u want to lighten the rig then invest your $ in a cf stock.

    He's a very good gunsmith irrespective of some of his earlier behaviour on here which he no doubt regrets. There's no need to avoid him. We all make poor decisions at times - no one is exempt from that. I'm sure you'd be very pleased with his work.

    I have fluted more than 30 barrels over the last few years, anything from tikka light up to big heavy custom barrels profiles. So far we have not had any accuracy complaint.
    And yes most fluted barrels can be threaded provided there is enough meat at the bottom of the flutes (12.7 mm for an 1/2", and 14 mm for a m14x1 for exemple)
