    I dont shoot pistol only rifle however that makes no drif now we are talking solvents i have completely fucked a great rifle useing sweets and wouldnt touch a rifle with the stuff again i use boretec not only is it better than sweets as far as cleaning goes but its safer to they say on the bottle you can leave it in the barrel in place of oil although i wouldn't suggest it

    yeah was completely my fault thought I had it all out but I didn't and the rifle sat if the safe for a few months
    I still use it if cleaning a very badly fouled or badly pitted barrel as some times a harsh solvent is what you need...... but wont touch my nice guns with it
