Yea as above, not something you’d expect in a gun that’s only shot 120 rounds

hi @rupert . . . was your Sako a chromemoly barrel or stainless, sporter or varmint weight ?
my Tikka Varmint stainless is coming up to 700 counted shots . . R
without a picture . .. it never happened !
Doc Watson has been shooting a 6.5 HMR on his YouTube channel.
Reckons they’re hard to beat for a number of reasons.
rossi.45: the Sako was fitted with the factory standard chromoly sporter barrel.
my Tikka started loosing accuracy at just over 600 rounds to just over +.5MOA, at 650 i had the barrel cropped 1 inch and recrowned, also increased the COAL and accuracy is back to under .5MOA
an old school gunsmith with a lot of experience in .243s & 22/250s told me years ago that its not only the throats of those hotrods that erode but also the muzzle, recrowning can help to bring back accuracy . . it was worth a try.
