    Bergara BA13 Takedown Hammer Extension

Hi all, recently purchased a Bergara BA13 takedown, I am a lefty and wanting to change the hammer extension over to the left side. Anyone now if I’m dealing with a left hand thread?

Nope, I can't tell. I was hoping to look at the left hand side of the hammer with a magnifying glass to see the thread, but my eyesight ain't good enough

Yes left hand thread, works both sides
Anti clockwise in both sides, same piece.

Thanks Team. I have a new problem now… the man in the gun store used red loctite on the thread ffs
Looks like I may be able to free it with brake cleaner.

A gentle bit of heat does the trick on red loctite. Go hard with a heat gun, or gently with a propane torch. Been there done that with scope ring screws….

Well they must have change the thread direction last week or something! Hot as a frying pan I’ve been swinging on it clockwise thinking it’s a left handed thread and is going to loosen up any minute now on the brink of snapping something off. After heating and struggling a couple of times I was like f@ck this isn’t right I’m going to turn it the other way…. Standard right hand thread
