Best new tech recoil reducing butt plate

So I'm a bit out of the loop on modern rifle trends

But want to find the best locally available after market recoil reducing Butt Plate.

I'm pretty flexible on what I can use because it's a scratch build.
But this butt will be going on a real booter.
It will be coming back hard and fast.
Especially important when shooting it prone

Something non slip would be nice
    Any colour works

Another couple of options are the Packmayr Decelerator and a new entry on the market is the Backfire Backstop pad.

Hydraulic dampers like Berettas kick off and others are probably the most effective at seriously diminishing the felt recoil.

Muzzle brake... Haha there I said it!!!!

Real world, Pachmayer or Limbsaver are the better ones. You are lucky as you have Gunworks handy, pop in and check out whats on the shelf as normally it's a reasonable selection.

Muzzle breaks wouldn't work at all in this application

Will be out at Gunworks in a few weeks and be closer to needing one to push on with this part of the project

Just thought there might be something new on the market that I wasn't aware of due to not often working on Tupperware rifles

I tried the Pachmayr Decelerator on my 7WSM - it was no better than the factory Model 7 one. I think a Limbsaver would be a better off-the-shelf option.

Kick-eez will soak up more than a Decelerator.

Only catch with sorbothane and other soft pads is that it could easily get torn around in woody scrub. Last time I was in that situation I wrapped the outside of the pad in duct tape which worked OK.

Suck it up, go with a bruised shoulder, you get used to it.
Once you’ve pulled the trigger, it’s all over in a split second

@Maca49 I will get back to you on that

I'm not worried about the recoil really because it will be a lot less than my beloved big bores
But I don't shoot the big bores from a sitting bench and I definitely don't shoot them prone

This modern rifle I want the butt pad for is stupidly light and I want to be able to shoot it prone.
So my old body will be taking a pounding and I won't be able to roll with the recoil

Both my shoulders were dislocated in an accident 10 years ago and the left shoulder ( I'm left handed ) has been rebuilt.
I don't want to need it to be replaced !

If you want to save your shoulder, Swap cartridge now to 6.5 CM .
What can your big build do that the 6.5 can’t ?
Shoot in a Swanny not a T shirt will help.
