with the big holes on the side that's not gonna keep anything out which is why I want a pack instead of the harness I already have.

I've got the Badlands zipped one, it's not bad. Only downside to me was on the back of the harness, it had a hydration bladder pouch which ended up being quite bulky with a pack on top. Just cut it out so it's nice and flat now.

I have the kuiu, its shit. Will go back to an alaska guide creations at some stage. Dont like that Kuiu unit is exposed at the back so it collects leaves and debris easily, binos are attached to the straps also so you cant just pull them out and pass them to a mate or pick them up for a quick glass around when youre not wearing the harness without having to unclip them from the harness, zero extra storage, straps always come undone off the binos and have very nearly had an expensive pair of binos go for a skate a couple of times due to this, have now taped the strap ends to prevent this from happening but shouldnt have to do that, not much thought went into designing it

I have the Kuiu and I find it great, I had an AGC (your old one) and found it too bulky. Remember the whole purpose of Kuiu gear, minimal weight and bulk but still have functionality for the sole person wearing / using it.

Your not the first person I have heard that from.
My main priorities are easy quiet access (not physically attached to binos)
Keep the shit out
I'm usually carrying a day pack so the storage is not a big deal

I have one of these the only problem is they are too tight for the 10x42 swovoski.
I do like that the bino is attached as I had a AGC and almost lost my old bino twice as I just dropped them in and didn't clip the flap and bent over and out they went.

I have 10x42 EL's in mine and they fit ok as far as girth goes, have to hold your tongue the right way when flipping the lid off though

I'm happy with the EL range in mine.
Yes snug but better than moving around with ever footstep

Hunted in heavy rain and 4 layers of clothing yesterday evening for 3 hours.

Twinneedle was great as if they were down my jacket they would have steamed up massively.
Watched 5 deer for 1.5 hours before I could get a clean shot in the rain and mist.
The flap and layout kept the binos cool and clean and handy the whole time and it was very heavy rain.

And yes I did shoot the spiker I wanted
