I have always taken the view that range finder technology is changing faster than bino technology. Its a lot cheaper to upgrade a seperate range finder than to have to replace combo binos.

Anyone know of a standalone rangefinder whose monocular telescope finder is of a good quality and decent magnification? Could be a game changer in terms of weight and versatility.

Not that I would use it for that but I have "accidentally" found an animal more than once when ranging a rock or other such object... "oh hey, there's a deer there!
