Nice one @Dreamer! Have you knocked over any critters with it yet? What sort of loads are you running in it?
@Gkp - are you planning to reload for whatever you end up with? I'm with @stug that it just seems right to have a break open style single shot chambered for a rimmed cartridge. The 7*57R seems just about spot on.

    PS More pictures please Dreamer!

Yeah mate will reload. I guess I haven't thought about rim or no rim. Given that I haven't seen one in person I know nothing of the extraction system.

The only problem I see with a thumbhole stock is you’d need to reposition your hand out to break it open?

Idk I'm sure it's a nice rifle but If your going for light buy a kimber that 2.7kg scoped and the ability to follow up shots. Or if you want a blaser I definitely feel it's a wood blued type of rifle. Just my opinion I couldn't imagine getting a K95 then having some synthetic stock on it.

The extractor for a rimmed cartridge is like a shotgun. A pretty bombproof steel extractor sits under the rim. Breaking open the barrel lifts the case by the rim about 5mm to one cm. A non-rimmed case has a spring-loaded dohicky that snaps into the Ed tractor groove on the case. I haven’t heard of one failing though.

The advantages of are single shot is the weight, the ability to break it down, awsome ergonomics, and shorter as there is no action as such.
I was a skeptic re single shots until a friend convinced me to buy a Thompson encore about 10 years ago
