I found this on the importers website today, can someone please explain the part that is highlighted?

    Blaser Rifles - R8 - Professional Success

With the revolutionary stock of the R8 Professional Success, Blaser gives active hunters the crucial edge for continuous successful shooting.
The R8 Professional Success stock provides a completely relaxed posture of shooting hand and arm, regardless of the aiming position. Thus, vexatious flinching is almost completely eliminated by itself providing the most important preparation for the accurate shot in any hunting conditions. The dynamic shape of the R8 Professional Success underlines the high demands Blaser is placing on this product: simply the best for successful shooting!
Technical Information on the R8 from Hugh to offer some insight into the innovative technology and design incorporated in the Blaser R8.

Firstly the Blaser steel work is Plasma nitrided which is rust resistant but more importantly is as hard as glass to reduce/remove any wear factor from moving parts.
As an example if you were to take any other make of rifle clamp it in a vise, take a hacksaw and start at the muzzle you could easily reduce into 2" lengths. Not so with the Blaser, you will remove the teeth from the hacksaw blade!
Bedding system- the bedding system used on the Blaser uses an inverted recoil lug in which the barrel is pulled down onto 8 bedding pads by two located allen key nuts down onto a duralium receiver extension. This has to be the Ultimate bedding system.

Also importantly the scope is not attached to a receiver which is then screwed to a barrel (this threaded joint is always a potential weak link) When the scope is attached directly to the barrel you are technically ahead of virtually all other makes!
The Blaser cartridge feed system has no feed ramps to damage or misalign projectiles in cartridges when being fed into the chamber. The Blaser magazine lifts up when the bolt is drawn back and the round is fed directly into the chamber with the projectile touching nothing hence no damage.

The Straight pull bolt with its radial tapered locking lugs is a huge technical leap forward because- normal turn bolt action rifles can and do have frontal bolt play (sloppy bolt fit in action) if you add this sloppy bolt with an extractor that holds the cartridge in the bolt face to one side and mostly out of precise alignment with the bore, coupled with a potential loose chamber with undersize ammo it is no wonder that the projectile is not looking straight down the bore and when fired this projectile does not realign itself with the bore but deforms and then becomes unstable downrange. The Blaser tapered radial bolt lock up actually aligns the cartridge to the bore and this is accomplished on primer ignition. When the firing pin ignites the primer the primer backs out of the case to take up the headspace and in doing this it exerts rearward pressure onto the bolthead centralizing it into its radial lock up thus holding and pointing the cartridge perfectly in line with the bore.

The Safety Decocker system is brilliant, when you push the Safety forward which is Silent you are actually cocking the firing pin spring, if you decide not to fire and release the safety you actually remove the tension on the firing pin spring and the firing pin is then guided into a blind well- thus making it totally impossible for the gun to fire.

The Professional stock is made of polyimide 12 and is virtually unbreakable.

The new R8 now incorporates a new trigger and mag removal system that instantly makes the gun no threat to associates in your presence and is easily seen to be totally safe.

I have not mentioned the trigger pull, however once tried it's never forgotten.

Got me buggered. You don't headspace on a primer that's for sure.
Think he may have made a mistake?
Doesn't matter anyway, they shoot and are as practical a hunting rifle as you will get.
    Gay 8's are just heavy.
Especially compared to my 93 wich has been on a diet☺

    Me!
