    Blasers in the Rain

I have an R8 and carrying it in fairly horizontal rain for a few hours I noticed that water was getting into the small gap between the bolt carrier and the barrel. It was accumulating around the area before the chamber - where the groove for the locking fingers is. Didn't see anything actually getting into the chamber but it did seem to me that a chambering round might pick up some water on the way past. I ended up wiping it out a couple of times. I was wondering if any of the Blaser users out there have encountered this and if there are any opinions as to whether this is something which needs to be monitored or can be ignored. In the former case, are there any solutions out there? I am thinking a) get a fancy nylon cover for scope and action, sort of thing you see on PRS rifles, or b) Black plastic bag.
