A good quality production rifle should be able to be fully stripped, barreled action removed from the stock as well as the bolt stripped down etc and return to zero no probs. I've done this with a bog standard R700, T3 and T3x many times - Little to no zero shift. And when I say little, I'm talking 1-2cm at 100m.
Don't neglect your rifle and think she'll be right. Learn the manual of arms that came with it. Know how to dismantle it fully. Lightly grease the locking lugs and cocking cam + lightly oil the bolt body. Wipe the rest of the rifle down with a lightly coated oily rag.
If you do this you will not encounter rust and still have an accurate gun.
