Thread: Bolt fluting - is the weight reduction worth it?

Just for shits and giggles, inspired by this thread I taught myself a new skill today... viola!!!!


Happy as with how it turned out. Forgot to weigh it, doesn't really matter as I know it certainly didn't add weight

Hardest thing was keeping count of which turn I was on, as my mill doesnt have digital read out, so one turn is 2.5mm....

If you want to lose weight in a rifle tie a brick to it take it hunting, get back home untie the brick, chuck it away then go for another hunt n you'll think 'shit this rifle is light.......' ;-)
