    Bore Guide for Blasers

Question for Blaser owners , what do you use for a bore Guide ? Have a Blaser on order ( might be an interesting eta with all the Covid drama )

First Blaser for me , standard tube style guides are held nicely in place and centralised in a rem700 style action but obviously the Blasers don’t have this ability .

I first made one out of wood on my old mans lathe. And now have an alloy one a mate turned up for me. But to be fair I hardly use either.

Yeah ok , I did think that it might easier to keep centred as you can basically see the the front of the chamber anyway

Why? Why after seeing your name in the alert and what thread it is related to, was I dumb enough to open this?

Send me your addy and I will send you the alloy one to use and get copied.
I would give it to you but it doubles up as a tool for finding C.O.L

Good point. God knows when we can send stuff. I have been waiting over a week for something I was told would be 2 business days.
PM me your addy and I will get it in a courier bag at least.

I'm doubting you can order an R93 so I will assume you have ordered an R8. Dave has (amongst a bunch of other things) an R93 so his guide will not fit your rifle if it's an R8.
As you can easily remove the barrel and scope is it very easy to clean a Blaser barrel as there is now nothing in the way. I do not use a guide but put my barrel in a vice with wooden blocks either side.
The range of what we think and do is limited by what we fail to notice. And because we fail to notice that we fail to notice, there is little we can do to change; until we notice how failing to notice shapes our thoughts and deeds

Good point KJ especially if he has an R8 coming.
The breech is larger on the R8 iirc?
Lucky the 2 guides I have are basically just a plug that fits flush into the breech face. Really simple. I have just looked for one to take a pic for you. The alloy plug has its place on my reloading bench and has sat there for years. Typically, it's not ther now. The wooden one is with some other gear I have in a storage lockup.
You will work it out once you have a decent look at the rifle.

Yeah I will work something out , just thinking ahead as like everyone else have a bit of spare time at the mo LOL

And I’m not waiting for delivery from somewhere in NZ , even worse I ordered it through Stager and is still in Germany so god knows what delays there will be will this fiasco , it’s a K95 as well so I will just get a guide turned up out of PTFE or something , jut thought there might of been a off the shelf guide you could buy and then make small mods to it to suit K95 .

Thanks anyway and let’s hope we can all get out for a hunt soon .

K95 doesn't have a breech so will be even easier to make something up. Probably be able to drill out a 410 shell and it will work depending on caliber
