    I always clean with a stoney creek bore guide , the problem is I don't keep the rifles long enough to be able to tell if its worth it or not.

    Carbon rod and bore guide for me. Not sure I'm sold on the need for a bore guide if you are careful and use a good quality rod.

    I dont use one the cleaning rods plastic coated if that helps.

    Yeah im thinking a better quality rod would be better money choice.

    So me old mate can you please explain what is so wrong with a .270?
    I shoot deer pretty much exclusively between 5 and 300m.

    Personally its cause my mates had a fair few deer walk away from his old one I've had deer walk away from one I sed so just dont like em. It was more about the bad shot placement but meh

    Ha ha all good mate im just sticking up for the cal I have, to be honest me old model 88 in .308 was awesome.
    Im by far an expert, just dont see how its as bad as a lot perceive it to be. Anyway this is about wether i should be using a guide ha ha
