    Bottom Metal and Lightweight stocks

Hey, to continue on with my current project (turning a heavy 6BR into a hunt able 243AI) I had originally though that some detachable bottom metal was a good idea so I order some from CDI Precision Gunworks in Florida. It takes the standard AICS magazines

I have also been put in touch with Jason from Senator Stocks in Tauranga. I have not seen or handled one of his stock but feedback from others who have puts his stocks in the same league as McMillan Edge for both finish and performance. I have placed an order for one of his carbon stocks (which can get as light as 380g!). Im still awaiting a full price one we sort the options I require but Im expecting around $700.

Now Im thinking the Tacticool bottom metal is probably going to be pretty impractical for a hunting rifle. So who of you out there is using DBM and is it good or should i look at maybe HS Precision or just the standard BDL bottom metal? Once the CDI DBM was fitted there would be no going back as it needs to be inletted a bit bigger.

Keep us updated on the stock - I'm looking for one at the mo

As far a DBM on a hunter - dont do it - pain in the arse.
Unless its the factory rem mags which although heavy, fit flush and are retained well
