I see they've put their prices up on their standard stocks to $129. Guess that rules them out now.
Not at all, it is the basic model, pro varmint no finishing and no accessories and it is for a rimfire thou.
That pro Varmint looks the business. Nice.
I cant even get onto their website anymore. Is it down? Is it just me? or are they blocking overseas viewers now?
I was in there just before, but it seems Beavis is correct any standard stock is now 129usd and therefore according to the webb site means they won't send to us ordinary people anymore.
Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?
Yeah correct , but what I mean is, according to the site they won't send if over 100USD, most classic style centerfire gunstocks have now moved to 129USD.
Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?
I wonder if that decision will cost them a lot of business.
Na the American market would more than soak it up. Avenues for legit private exports from the US are fast drying up or becoming uneconomical.
I thought the limit was us$100 (not 99) as Boyds dont want to register with state department for exports.
They have recently re-named their "Tacti-cool" to the Pro Varmint and I suspect that was so they could avoid the tactical category and sell to the Canadian market (which has a us$500 limit before requiring export permit).
I've been wanting to try a tactical style stock for a while but have never been happy with the feel of the McM A5 style as they feel to big in the pistol grip area form me. Then Boyds ahd a special on the Sako 85 Pro Varmint at us$75 so I bought one. They only make right hand ones, but they dont have palm swell so easy to convert to left hand.
Has anyone found away for getting a boyds stock now there price has gone up to us$129.
Was after there classic with a sendero barrel channel.
