Very similar to the BSA Hunter stock
I still have one BSA - an ex 7x57 re-barreled with fluted 270 Weatherby barrel
Stock again very sim to this
Has an issue see if you can spot it - not you @Frodo :-)
Broken through the stock? Looks pinned. Not keen on the checkering
I do like the different safety.
really gives it a different look
@Sarvo yeah nah. Just another one I'd like but cant do.
@Sarvo , I have a set of conetrol rings for that rifle , brought them new in the mid eighties and had them on my 7x 57 BSA Viscount , going to sell them , you want them ?
I wsould be keen on the conetrol
Sorry fellas , I am sure I had a spare set , just gone through my shit and not there , can’t even remember
Selling them , I have 1 set but they get used , and I have a very old set of aluminium rings fixed on a Kowa that came off a beaten up Model 21 but they are just man cave art now.
you keep posting photos of those fixed power loopies and my key board is going to short out from all the drool.
I did see it but it "smelt" a bit. The replacement bolt wasn't an Oberndorf one. No disrespect to Hugh Bradley who does a lot of fine gunsmithing, but he knows bugger all about genuine Mauser sporting rifles. I gave up on him after he repeatedly tried to tell me the "B U G" proof marks were British, and tried to tell me an "intermediate" bolt would fit a kurz. It would too if it was cut in half and a bit taken from the middle. End of rant.
