Buy a T3X and chuck a Bartlein on it chambered in 6.5 PRC or SAUM. Job done

Just buy a 270wsm, yanks love them, but then guys over here think that they just drill holes in things.... 10yds, shot in the chest, through all the vitals then through the ribs and found under the skin by back leg, cant ask for much better than that
270 is a harmonic divisor number[1]
270 is the fourth number that is divisible by its average integer divisor[2]
270 is a practical number, by the second definition
The sum of the coprime counts for the first 29 integers is 270
270 is a sparsely totient number, the largest integer with 72 as its totient
Given 6 elements, there are 270 square permutations[3]
10! has 270 divisors
270 is the smallest positive integer that has divisors ending by digits 1, 2, …, 9.
What weight and type of bullet?
I agree that its a great calibre. Its got good magnum performance and is the most tolerable of the factory magums in the unmoderated recoil department (for me, anyway). The 270wsm works well with a 22' barrel too. The 2 saum factory calibers are right there too but aren't available in new factory rifles (7mm & .30).
I have a hankering to try a 6.5PRC too, but I doubt it will do anything the 270wsm can't do.

From memory I think Ryan is currently running 150g factory Norma Ammo, I will be running 145eldx in mine as soon as I can get the powder I'm after.
270wsm=great caliber
Flat shooting and plenty of knock down power, some nice factory rifles come in 270wsm including the a7 which is lightweight and easy to shoot.

If you don't mind me asking what projectiles are you using and what velocities are you achieving.
I was hoping to get the 135 berger or 140 elite hunter around 3100 without much fuss in a 24inchish barrel.
Do you think this is possible or are all the numbers I have read exaggerated?
I mangaged 3150 with 130 in my 65 06 but not the best chrono giving those results.

@R93 Still working up a load currently with 147gr eldm. Am up to 2950fps but haven’t seen any obvious pressure signs with AR2217. I think it could be possible with RL26 which seems to be a go to powder currently with a few cartridges but it’s a bit like rocking horse shit at the moment.

"O what a day, what a lovely day"
I'm using 147's as well with 2217. 23" barrel. Very accurate at 2,960ish (using Magnetospeed) and went up to just over 3k before I saw the 1st signs of pressure. I'm using ADG brass.

Yup my Ackley has been up there as well but case life was pretty bad in my rifle.
I have good case life and accuracy at 2950ish with the 130 berger vld.
I don't want it to be a stretch. I would like to do it comfortably.
I might even stick with the 130vld as it has performed really well in the 260 on animals so far.

The Mcarbo trigger spring is an easy upgrade for the X-Bolt rifles.
The Hells Canyon name could have something to do with the Hells Canyon Recreational Area - not too far from the Browning offices in Utah.

Half the harm that is done in this world is due to people who want to feel important. They don't mean to do harm-- but the harm does not interest them. Or they do not see it, or they justify it because they are absorbed in the endless struggle to think well of themselves.
