Hi,
Does anyone know anything about replacement of the internal batteries on a Burris Thermal Monocular BHT series?
With a poked battery the thing is a brick!

Yeah, but nah! I trialled a thermal scope with a built-in battery and decided it wasn't for me. Too much hassle having to leave the rifle, or device, plug in to the garage while you go hunting!!!???? All three of my thermals have removable batteries. I wouldnt buy built-in and hadn't even thought of the, what if the battery fails scenario.
That model must still be relatively new. If you bought it retail in NZ, take it back to the retail outlet and tell them to replace the battery under warrantee.
If you bought it from a reputable overseas company the the same applies.
If you bought it second hand in NZ, track down the NZ importers and make a warrantee claim.
If you bought it on EBAy or something you probably cant go back down that rabbit hole, but the NZ importers should still be able to help.
You could try taking it to your local gun shop and ask for assistance.
If you can get the battery pack out (I wouldn't recommend that, you would probably void your warrantee) you could go to JAYCAR and get a replacement battery...... perhaps.....
Other than that, it's just another brick in the wall!
