    Bushnell AR 3-12×40 query.

Hey guys my scope arrived today and mounted as I could'nt keep them apart any longer.

I noticed what I think is the nitrogen gas port or just beside it there is a cap protruding on a 45 degree angle, one side flush the other raised.

Is this normal or a reason for concern? Name: uploadfromtaptalk1393306968234.jpg

I have the same scope (and mount) and the same little protruding screw... I have seen it on this range f scopes so its definately factory...
What its purpose is i dont know, a similar bushnell scope has a rubber cap in exactly the same place and angle and its the purge point, so i think you are correct...

Magic thank you both for replying have only just noticed you can see it on the box! My fault.Off to zero tomorrow so will snap a pic of the target and chuck it up in here for anyone else looking to buy one of these scopes. $229 from reloaders was a bloody bargain.

Looks like a good enough scope for an AR.

Just need to get an AR to put one on.

    Cheers
