    Bushnell Banner 3-9x40 focus issue

    Hi Guys,

Just had a rifle package delivered to me with a scope attached but the scope seems to have an issue, The parallax is not adjustable on this model and seems to behave fine with the scope set to 3x but once I change the zoom up any higher the scope only seems to focus on things up to about 7m away. The zoom ring also feels quite stiff and jerky to twist.

Anybody got any ideas on ways to fix this? The scope seems nice otherwise and I would rather fix it that have to buy another one.

    Thanks

You will have to adjust the objective lens, can be a fiddly job and a lot are loctite in place from the factory so can take a bit to break the locking ring free without damaging the lens, I would just send it back and ask for a new one

Bolt it onto the top of a 270.
The force will start to work and turn it away from the dark side.

Sorry should have mentioned, It was a cheap used rimfire package purchased privately so no real way of sending it back. Might just replace it if its going to be a big hassle.

The zoom ring on my 1990s Bushnell Buckhorn has always been really stiff, but is worse now, nearly rip the rings off the rifle!
Adjusting the focus wasn't a problem though. I still have the instruction leaflet for my scope if you need a copy.
