My beloved rossi 357 had a bad little habit of occasionally letting the next round from the tube mag slip under the cartridge lifter when cycling for the next shot.
Dog knots the whole lot up with the lever open. Easiest way to unstick is to take the end plug out of the mag and take the spring/plug and all the ammo out and the offending shell would come out a lot easier. Funnily enough the PO had already lost the end plug in the bush and had a new one made up probably from doing just that.
Worked out where some weld could be put in to fix this PITA. A little grinding/fitting and all good.

Bought a Ruger Mini 14 Ranch Rifle chambered in 222 rem when they first came out over here, had over 1000 cases when I got it, only around80 when I got rid of it, could never get it to shoot well enough, so I traded it for a Marlin 444 and 100 rounds of factory ammo, best deal I ever did, the Marlin shot around the inch mark with 240gn cast projectiles.

Pretty much every older used gun that I have bought sight unseen. "Barrel looks really good with strong rifling". Fast forward - barrel is pitted to fuck and shot out.
